Get To Know Your Therapist

ashley wilson, ma, lpc

therapist, wife, mom, and founder of Hawthorn Counseling Center.

I’m passionate about walking with people through seasons of life that feel uncertain, overwhelming, or like everything is shifting at once. Whether it’s navigating big transitions, managing anxiety, adjusting to motherhood, or discovering who you are beneath the expectations of others, you don’t have to do it alone.

I specialize in working with teens, adults, and moms — both new and seasoned — who are craving support, regulation, and clarity. The clients I work with are looking for a therapist who truly gets it—someone who won’t make them feel guilty for not enjoying every moment. They’re often exhausted, burned out, or feeling disconnected from themselves. If that’s you, you’re in the right place. Together, we slow down, get curious, and make space for your thoughts and emotions without judgment.

hi, i'm ashley —

My approach is collaborative and compassionate. I blend Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Polyvagal Theory to meet you exactly where you are. I view therapy as a place to be seen, supported, and understood — not “fixed.” You bring your lived experience and wisdom; I bring clinical tools, insight, and a safe space to explore what’s happening under the surface.

Therapy with me isn’t one-size-fits-all. Every client is different, which means our work is tailored to your personality, your goals, and the pace that feels right for you. Some days we’ll process deeply, and other days we’ll focus on practical skills you can use immediately. My goal is to help you feel empowered to navigate life with confidence, emotional regulation, and a deeper sense of self-understanding.
